New & thankful

Post by Gracey » Tue Apr 15, 2008 12:30 am

Hi.
I'm new here. I've been in some ministry, but having moved to a new city, am kind of out here on my own.
I'm struggling really badly right now, and did a google search for deliverance ministry, and that's how I found ya'll.
I'm glad you're here.

What a blessing to have you join us! Please make yourself at home!
Religion brings outward conformity; relationship transforms the heart.
It was the religious folks who hated and murdered the Son of God.
Is it not rightly said that religion is Satan's version of Christianity?

Seems like a safe place.

Now sure what can be said here or not. Is there a list of the rules?

Yes, you can read the forum rules here:

http://www.ministeringdeliverance.com/p ... ic.php?t=3

Most of them are pretty much common sense!

I also encourage you to read this post, as it gives you an idea of what we are all about, and what the goal/mission of this forum is:

I read a lot. Thank you. Found the rules.

Can I ask a question? A rather pointed one. . .

Ok.

I know I have soul parts, shattered parts, alters, whatever you're comfortable calling them.

Sometimes, they've done things that have hurt the body.

But. . .I'm the one doing it now. It's the only way I feel like I can cope. The pain of the cuts are pain I can deal with. It's doable, not like the pain inside.

Could it be something else driving it?

Hi Gracey
It is true that the pain from cuts is something you can deal with. I can't explain the feeling I get from cutting. It's really weird.
I used to struggle with that. I'm trying to stop myself. It's really hard when the urge comes but if you keep on fighting it gets a bit easier to fight the urge. Personally from what I've experienced, I know it's spiritual....though I don't really understand. It's a bit confusing.
I'll be praying for you!!! You can fight this

Have you read the teaching on GreatBibleStudy.com on disassociation? It may be very helpful and answer a lot of your questions.

From my understanding, cutting is usually caused from two things:

1. Either there's an alter which is holding severe trauma and pain, and cutting is a way to release the pain.

2. Or the alter feels that it honestly deserves the pain, and feels good that it is giving itself something that it deserves.

Either way, it's something that the Holy Spirit can heal, and you can be set free from. It is important to seek deliverance through a deliverance minister that is knowledgeable of disassociation and inner healing.
