Hi, i just joined this today. I am in need of some help. I am having horrible nightmares at night when I try to sleep. Also, during the day when I am awake, I will have the nightmares as well. They are really bad and they are scaring me. I have tried everything to make them go away. I have tried reading the bible at night, but end up throwing it across the room. Is there anything else I can do to make the nightmares stop?? My family is involved in the occult, so I am wondering if the nightmares are coming from that.

hi alicia,
i to, get angry and throw the bible across the room. my mum and dad are not involved in that but i know its there fault so they make me very angry and i get bad nightmares to. i think every night before you go to bed you need to pray and say to the nightmares, god did not give me a spirit of fear but of joy and peace. keep on rejecting them. |

Hi Alicia,
When did these nightmares start happening? Do you remember anything that took place in your life around that time? Do you see an entry point for these attacks? Have you ever been involved in the occult? Sometimes a person who has demons from their past lifestyle will come to Jesus, and then find that those spirits will turn against them.
Is this occult involvement by your family being done in the home where you live? If so, it's likely that there are spirits residing in the home or property.
Do you think your family would try to place curses on you? If so, you need to break off any ungodly soul ties with them and break any curses sent to you in Jesus' name.
I would pray over a glass of water and ask the Lord to have the water symbolically represent the Blood of Jesus... then take the water and sprinkle it over yourself and over your room saying, "I cover this room (or myself) with the Blood of Jesus". Demons hate the Blood of Jesus!
A while back I was casting out some demons and when I mentioned the Blood of Jesus... you should have seen the face change in a flash and stare a hole at me! That spirit wasn't happy about my preachin' the Blood...

Robert,
I was raised around the occult my entire life. I now live like 2 hours away from my family, but I see them sometimes. So, yes I was involved in the occult. The nightmares really started getting bad a couple of months ago. I am not sure what was going on then because I don't remember a lot that happens when I am with my family. My pastor tried one time to get me to take communion and it took me a long time to do it. He told me that he wished I could've seen my face when he mentioned communion. He said that he thought I was going to kill him. I am not really sure if I can do the whole water thing right now, it might make things worse and I live alone. I was reading things posts on this website earlier and my eyes started going blurry, and I felt like I was getting angry, so i had to stop reading because I am at work until tomorrow morning. Thanks for the advice.
